Heather gained the foundation of her training in classical ballet here in Wichita from Nancy Hervey and Jill Landrith. She performed with Ballet Wichita under the direction of Jill Landrith for 11 years and was a principal with the company for 5 years before moving to San Francisco, California to work with the Bay Area’s unique choreographers. She earned her BFA in Dance from Wichita State University in 2014 and received her MFA in Dance from the University of California Irvine in 2018 where she had the opportunity to study under Lar Lubovitch. Upon returning to Wichita, Heather founded Wheat State Dance Collective, a contemporary dance company, and continues to perform with Metropolitan Ballet of Wichita.  She shares her love of dance with the next generation of artists as an adjunct instructor at Wichita State University and teacher at Midwest Dance Mechanix.
