Brianna Barron is a teacher & administrator from Ontario, California. She had a passion for the arts at a young age, playing classical music, taking acting classes, cheer and dance. While in high school, she danced on both the intermediate and advanced dance team while taking studio classes in Upland. She began teaching at the age of 15 as an assistant to the director of dance at Colony High School. Following high school, she attended Riverside Community College where she danced/competed on the song & cheer team while teaching weekly classes to teens. After transferring to Loyola Marymount University, Brianna had the privilege of learning from faculty such as Tekla Kostek, Damon Rago, Scott Heinzinger, Teresa Highland, Monti Ellison, and Jason Myhre. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Dance, Brianna earned a Mat Pilates certification with BASI Pilates and completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training. Over the past 16 years, she has worked with movers ages 2 to 18 in various settings such as private studios, non-profit organizations, public & charter schools, and Mount Saint Mary’s University. As RKDC’s Education Director, she produces RKDC youth dance workshops, the bi-annual student showcases, and manages all aspects of programming. She is grateful for the opportunity to inspire and support students young and older.
