Jesse Ocampo is a Bay Area native who has been training as well as choreographing in various styles of dance competitively, professionally, and on a collegiate level for thirteen years. Jesse started her training at Hawkins School of Performing arts in Folsom, CA, competing with the company’s mini hip hop team “XS Energy” at the age of 7. From there, Jesse’s love for dance grew as she expanded her training to ballet, tap, lyrical, contemporary, urban community styles, modern, musical theatre, and pom throughout various studios in the Bay Area. She has been a member of national award-winning teams as well as earning national solo titles and scholarships. She has worked as a mentor and a teacher to dancers from the age of 2 all the way to 18. She has taught at various studios and produced workshops. She’s currently a dancer and Artistic Coordinator for the PAC Modern dance team while being a full-time student at California State University Long Beach. Jesse is passionate about bringing human connection back into the technological age through the arts and hopes to someday share this dream by creating her own non-profit organization that introduces the opportunity of the arts to youth living in impoverished regions around the world.
