Courtney Wages, Ms. Kansas 2023, is a dedicated performer and educator based in Wichita, KS. She graduated from Wichita State University with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Dance, supported by a Performing Arts Scholarship. At WSU, Courtney had the opportunity to work with renowned Directors and Choreographers, including Amy Baker Schwiethale, Bradley Allan Zahr, Emily Orr, and Daxton Bloomquist.
Courtney’s extensive training spans many styles, with a particular specialty in tap dance. She has studied hoofing with Sherri Hill and Broadway Style with Lynn Cramer, Chris Rice, Eloise Kropp, Amy Baker Schwiethale, among others. Her work has been showcased at KCACTF, where she choreographed for the entire Midwest region and conducted several workshops. Additionally, Courtney has taught multiple master classes across the region in Tap, Musical Theatre, and Jazz. She continues to teach and choreograph for various schools in Kansas and theatres in Oklahoma City.
