Quinn Lake is a multifaceted musician who is equally comfortable in a Baroque ensemble and a rock band. Quinn has performed with the Wichita Symphony and Wichita Grand Opera Orchestras since 2004, as well as with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago for a season. She is a founding member of Wichita Baroque, and has performed as a soloist with orchestras in Jackson, MI; Hays, KS; Wichita, KS, and at Carnegie Hall. She is also an in-demand studio musician—her playing can be heard on rock albums, in podcasts, documentaries and more. A passionate music educator, Quinn maintains a full-time private studio and is very involved in the music education scene in the Wichita community and beyond.

Quinn holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Cello Performance from Lawrence University’s Conservatory of Music (Appleton, WI), and a Master’s in Cello Performance from Wichita State University. During her studies, she studied cello for a semester at the Institute for European Studies in Vienna, Austria, and has attended music festivals across the USA and Europe.

Quinn has earned awards including First Prize in ASTA’s Statewide Solo Competition (Kansas), First Prize in the Institute for European Studies – Vienna’s Chamber Music Competition, First Prize in the Wolf-Bing Chamber Music Competition, and First Prize in MTNA’s Statewide Chamber Music Competition (Kansas).
