Claudia Boutwell is from Pembroke, Massachusetts where she trained for 15 years at Pembroke School of Performing Arts. She graduated from Shenandoah University in 2022 with her BFA in Dance, and had the opportunity to perform works by artists such as Yoshito Sakuraba, Lucinda Childs, Tiffanie Carson, Daniel Padierna, and many more during her time at SU. Additionally, Claudia has had the opportunity to work with companies such as the American Tap Company (ATC), Jam Youth Project, and Boston Community Dance Project. In previous years, she has traveled to Riesa, Germany with ATC to compete in the IDO World Tap Dance Championships. Her travels also include Ikaria, Greece for Ekilibre Dance Company’s contact improvisation workshop. Since graduating she has enjoyed teaching and choreographing on the south shore of Massachusetts. Now located in southern California, Claudia is excited to continue pursuing her love of both teaching and performing.
