New Dance Partners 2025
Audiences will delight in a feast for the eyes as four new works premiere on Yardley Hall stage. For this festival of contemporary and modern dance, the Midwest Trust Center has enlisted four choreographers to create original works for four local dance companies to perform at the world premieres.

Love Letters
In celebration of love and connection, RKDC presents “Love Letters,” a special video series featuring four original dance duets choreographed and performed by our company dancers and shot and edited by filmmaker James Rico. Each day leading up to Valentine’s Day, we’ll unveil a new duet, capturing the many shades of love.

New Dance Partners
RKDC is honored to join New Dance Partners, an esteemed annual event hosted by Johnson County Community College at the Midwest Trust Center. This year’s event, taking place on September 19-20, 2025, at Yardley Hall, brings together four acclaimed choreographers and four Midwest dance companies to debut original contemporary and modern dance works.
CONVERGE II: New Spaces
CONVERGE II: NEW SPACES is a vibrant celebration of contemporary dance in the Midwest, uniting two premier dance companies to present original works across Kansas and Kansas City, MO. The project builds community among regional artists, expands creative approaches through cross-pollination, and partners with arts organizations in Wichita, Kansas City, and Lawrence to offer opportunities for Midwest audiences to engage with contemporary dance, an underrepresented art form in the region.

Regina Klenjoski Dance Company (RKDC) is excited to introduce a fresh, engaging dance experience to this year’s Tulip Festival at Botanica, The Wichita Gardens on Saturday, April 13. The Golden Apple Tour
RKDC returns to its Los Angeles roots – for one night only – at the James Armstrong Theatre in Torrance on October 21, with the west coast premiere of The Golden Apple, an innovative interdisciplinary contemporary dance performance drawing inspiration from a Macedonian folk tale which explores themes of power and stewardship in a modern context.

The Golden Apple
Join us for the world premiere of “The Golden Apple,” an innovative interdisciplinary contemporary dance production that seamlessly weaves spoken word, film design, original music, and dance together. Drawing inspiration from the Macedonian folk tale The Boy Who Hid in the Golden Apple, this anti-fairytale explores themes of power and stewardship in a modern context. Featuring an original score by Michael Wall and spoken word by Cydnee A Reese.
Join us for a dreamy evening of dance performances at the Crown Uptown Theater and make it a night to remember. The evening will include new work and repertory by Artistic Director Regina Klenjoski, a new work by guest choreographer Denise Celestin.
RKDC is excited to be in the studio working towards the creation of a new work “The Golden Apple.” We are exploring the subject of ecology through themes in a little known Macedonian fairytale “The Boy Who Hid in the Golden Apple.” The process is lead by RKDC’s Artistic Director and Choreographer Regina Klenjoski with dancers/performers Aviance Battles, Caleb Faer, Elleigh McClelland, Tim Portwood, Rile Reavis, and Rhiannon Vieyra.
RKDC will be performing Emoticons at the Emerson Spring to Dance Festival 2022 in St. Louis on May 29 at 7:30pm.

Third time’s a charm… it has been a bumpy road back to the theatre, but we have persevered. After two separate incidents halted our production of “Far From Home” we are even more determined and excited to share this important work with you! Join us for an opportunity to witness two versions of Regina Klenjoski’s choreography for US. Experience the original version, which was created as a dance film, staged and shot in a downtown Wichita parking garage, then see its evolution as Regina reimagined and restructured it for a vastly different outdoor space in the gardens of Botanica.
RKDC has partnered with Botanica to premiere two new works, Radical Joy and US, in the gorgeous gardens this spring. Radical Joy examines the importance of cultivating joyfulness in our lives. Through an exploration of hidden joy, unbridled joy, and childhood joy, you will be treated to luscious, expansive movement performed by Elleigh McClelland, Max Mayerle, Heather Eilerts, and Rhiannon Vieyra. US is a continued development of a short dance film that premiered in Duets for My Valentine last February.
Duets for My Valentine is a collection of dance films exploring the multifaceted ‘dueting’ that exists in our world through our relationships with others, with ourselves, and with the things we love most.
